The Wedding and such...

Laura, a highschool friend of mine, got married on Monday. She and her fiance, got married on the beach in North Carolina. The weather was great and we narrowly missed Ophelia. Now she is Mrs. Johnson! Congrats again, Laura and Branden.

Unfortunately, while Laura was getting married I got the flu. I think I got it from Brad since he was sick last week so I've decided his new nickname should be "outbreak monkey." Yesterday everything hurt and I was flying back so during my layover I had my feet up on my carry-on in the airport and the guy working the counter at my gate asked me if I was OK. I said I was fine and that I just didn't feel well. I'm sure the rest of the people waiting for my plane thought that that was fantastic. I really hope that I didn't make any of my fellow plane passengers sick. I'm feeling better now though. I just have a runny nose and a little cough. I usually only get sick once a year during the summer (knock on wood) so hopefully that was my once a year illness.

Space, the Final Frontier...

Today in Evidence I got to answer a question with, "Well, the judge could take judicial notice of the fact that Vulcans don't exhibit emotions." It was the first time in a few weeks that I really enjoyed my Evidence class.

This Week

I am sitting in Banking Law which is more of a history class. It's a two hour class on Thursday nights and right now we are on break. I am really tired so I'm not sure if I can stay awake through the next hour but it is so cold in here that I can't see how I could fall asleep if I tried. Maybe that's why they keep it so cold.

In other news:

Wake Forest accepted 10 displaced Tulane and Loyola New Orleans law students to attend Wake this semester until their schools are opened again. I only share 1 class with some Tulane students and that's Federal Income Tax. Wake has also been collecting money to send to the Red Cross, as well as food and clothes.

This Saturday I am flying to Norfolk and then meeting Brad at the airport to drive to Corolla NC in the Outer Banks to attend my friend Laura's Wedding. The wedding is on Monday so I am skipping school but I have asked some people to let me borrow their notes so I should be fine. I'm excited about going to the beach. The last time I was at the beach was in 1999. I never grew up going to the beach so I don't think I'm "beach people" so I don't miss it but it's still fun to go once in a while.

Well class is starting again so I better start taking notes on the Federal Reserve.
